This weekend Nate was a great help to swap my hubs over to the 5×114.3 hubs.  I think it took longer to figure out how to get my car on the jacks.  Also had to go get a Socket for the axle.  Seems the 2008 + Cobalt SS Axle nut is a 36mm.  big guy…  [...]

Taping up the trunk

After some humming and Hawing I decided to give this daunting challenge a go.  I am by no means a fiberglass guy.  In fact I am not that good at it.  But I have found a guy that will help me out.  So in the process of making a custom stereo setup, I will also learn to work with fiberglass better.  This will be a long build.  hopefully not too long though.  I will essentially be taking my dual 10″ box out and adding a third 10″ to custom sub enclosures.  I will try to update this as much as I can.

This weekend Nate was a great help to swap my hubs over to the 5×114.3 hubs.  I think it took longer to figure out how to get my car on the jacks.  Also had to go get a Socket for the axle.  Seems the 2008 + Cobalt SS Axle nut is a 36mm.  big guy…  So it seems only the passenger rear is rubbing.. ok both rears are rubbing but I only hear it from the passenger side.  Will be needing to put on sme 5mm spacers.  Didnt really want to but I have no choice here.

I am really happy with how the rims really finish off the look of the car. Thanks again Nate for the help on this one.

Got a text message from Jamie at Grounded Conceptz congratulating me on having my car in the Buyers Guide for Performance Auto & Sound Magazine.  Needless to say I was not aware of it.  He did send me a pic of the page.  After which I tried every store I could think of to find the magazine.  However I did not have any luck finding it.  Will have to look again tomorrow.

It’s no feature story but for me to even have a pic of my car in that magazine is just amazing on its own. :) YAY me.
